NYC Friday night Dance

Come to Nawiliwili Yacht Club this Fri Aug 20 for a dance party. free lesson starting at 8pm with a variety of dancing from 8:30-11pm. Free to Yacht club members or $5 cover charge. Dance Fever Hits Kauai in August

August is hot, hot, hot on Kauai!  And it’s time to burn it up on the dance floor.  Remember the disco days?  Well this month you can get in the groove.  Hustle is the Dance of the Month for the Koloa Dance Group.

This Sunday, August 8th you can polish your Hustle with Dorin at Koloa Dance during the 7pm practice, with open dance from 8-10pm at the Koloa Neighborhood Center.  For details, KoloaDance.com.

Then show your skills off on Saturday, August 21st.  Aloha Beach Hotel is hosting Saturday Night Fever at Kuhio Lounge

I was researching on YouTube (as I love to do…) and must admit, I forgot how skinny John Travolta was in this movie, and how high the men’s waistbands were, along with a few other details – fun research for your costume contest.  Long video, and the dancing doesn’t start for 3 1/2 minutes – but enjoyed the flashbacks!
