Your best bet is Rob’s on Tuesday night. We play a variety of swing, mostly west coast, but some east coast swing as well. Rob’s Good Times Grill is on Rice Street in Lihue. You may contact me at kauaidancing@gmail.com for more information. Rae-Marie

Is the Koloa weekly Sunday dance no longer happening? 11/29/15

    • November 30, 2015 3:29 pm

There was no dance yesterday because of Thanksgiving weekend. You will find dancers there almost every Sunday. There is generally a lesson at 7:00 with dancing to follow. If you would like to be on the email list, email me at kauaidancing@gmail.com.

Unfortunately you just missed Latin Night at Aloha Beach Resort (first Saturday of every month). We do have a Latin band on island called Rhumba de Fuego which plays at different venues. I’m not sure where they are playing this month. Try giving Trees Restaurant, behind the Coconut Marketplace, a call. They often play there. Tuesdays at Rob’s is lots of fun, but not much Latin music I’m afraid. Mostly swing.

I am a Latin dance instructor looking for a place to dance salsa, rueda, bachata, merengue or cha cha on Kauai. Wouldn’t mind giving some free lessons, if location and time fit into our schedule. Thanks for any info, Robert

Hello! I’m a Brazilian Zouk & West Coast dancer. Could you please recommend Brazilian Zouk & West Coast dance locations? I’d also like to dance Argentine Tango, Blues, & Salsa On1, but I predict those will be easier to find.
